“Being a cop is tough, being a gay cop is tougher; being a gay
cop having to remain hidden for fear of losing the profession
they have chosen is not comprehendible to me.”

One of the greatest things
about being part of the law enforcement family is the ability to
reach out to other members of our profession for help and advice.
Our strength as a profession comes from our shared knowledge and
experience. If you have a question or need some help, don't be
shy about asking. You can ask for help or advice about
anything related to coming out or being gay in law enforcement .
You can remain completely anonymous and we will provide you with as
much support and information as we possibly can.
This page will provide you with several
options for submitting a question or comment. You do not need
to identify yourself if you don't feel comfortable. Answers to
all questions will be posted on a separate web page. If you
would like to contribute to the book, please do be sure to include
an address that I can reply to.
