LGBT Law Enforcement Training Conference

Coming In The Spring Of 2020

The California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training Innovations Grant Program is funding a special training conference on LGBTQ issues in law enforcement.  The goal of this conference is to improve law enforcement’s ability to serve the LGBTQ+ community and to support those LGBTQ+ members of the law enforcement profession.

Out To Protect is partnering with the Napa Valley Criminal Justice Training Center, San Jose Police Department, and Matthew Shepard Foundation to produce this event.  The conference will include two and a half days of training on topics including:

How To Deliver LGBT Awareness Training For Law Enforcement

Hate Crimes Investigations

How To Create An Inclusive Workplace For LGBTQ+ Employees

How To Develop LGBT Liaison Programs

The conference will be held at a location to be named in the South San Francisco area.  All members of law enforcement including straight allies are encouraged to attend.
